Preachers Content Type

The Preachers content type defines the profiles for anyone delivering a sermon. These profiles are linked to individual Sermon entries to provide context and biographies.

Content Type Schema

Key	Type	Requirement	Description
name	String	Required	Full name for display.
isGuest	Boolean	Required	Default: true Distinguishes between visiting speakers and local speakers.
priority	Number	Required	Default: 0 Determines sort order (1 is highest, 0 is lowest).
image	Path	Optional	Future feature: Local path to the preacher’s portrait.
body	Markdown	Optional	Short biography. Displayed on a sermon page if the sermon’s own body content is empty.

Behavior & Logic

• Priority Ranking: The priority field allows you to control how preachers are sorted in lists. For example, Lead Pastors can be set to 1 to ensure they appear first in filters or directories.

• Dynamic Bios: If an editor creates a Sermon entry but doesn’t provide specific sermon notes, the system automatically pulls the content from the Bio field here to fill the page.
