Adding Pages

In Astro Church, the Pages collection controls both your sites content and its navigation structure. Follow these steps to create a new top-level page.

  1. Navigate to Pages: Open your project in Astro-Church CMS and select Pages from the left-hand sidebar. Click the Add an entry button.
  2. Define the Title and Order
    • Title: Enter the display name. This appears in your navigation menu and the browser tab.
    • Order: Assign a number to set this page’s position in the menu. Lower numbers come first.
  3. Optional: Select the Page Type:
    • Select a type (blog, events, or sermons): If you want this page to act as an automated archive for a specific collection.
    • Leave it blank: If you want to create a standard content page (e.g., “About”).
    • Note: Each special type can be used only once across your entire site.
  4. Add Your Content: Write your content in the Body section using the Markdown editor.
    • Note: If you selected a Type in the previous step, the body content will be ignored.
  5. Save and Publish: Review your settings and click Save. Your new page will now be live and automatically added to your sites navigation menu.
