Sermons Content Type

The Sermons content type represents individual sermon entries.

Content Type Schema

Key	Type	Requirement	Description
title	String	Required	The title of the sermon.
date	Date	Required	Date the sermon was given.
series	Path	Required	Path to the Series entry.
scripture	Array	Optional	OSIS formatted scripture references.
preacher	Path	Required	Link to the Preacher entry.
mediaURL	URL	Optional	Link to sermon media on Spotify (https://open.spotify.com/episode/...) or Youtube (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=...)
bulletinURL	URL	Optional	Link to a PDF or external document (e.g., Google Docs).
body	Markdown	Optional	The main content. If left empty, preacher’s bio is displayed.

Relationships & Linking

This content type acts as a “bridge.” When you select a Series or Preacher in PagesCMS, it stores the file path to that specific Markdown file. This allows the site to pull in relevant images, bios, and metadata automatically.
