Adding Sermons
In Astro Church is designed to make Sermons simple to post and accessible for your. Follow these instructions to post your first sermon.
Prerequisites (Setup First)
Section titled “Prerequisites (Setup First)”Set up the Sermon Archive
Section titled “Set up the Sermon Archive”Follow the instruction for Setting Up the Sermon Archive.
Add a Sermon Series
Section titled “Add a Sermon Series”-
Navigate to Sermon Series > Add an entry.

Provide the Series Title and Start Date. Optionally upload a Series Image and select Bible Book(s).

Add a Preacher
Section titled “Add a Preacher”-
Navigate to Preachers > Add an entry.

Name: Enter the preachers full name.

Guest Preacher: Uncheck for local staff/elders. Leave checked for guest preachers.

Priority: Set the display order (1 is highest, 0 is lowest).

Optionally, upload a picture and include a short bio.

Create the Sermon Entry
Section titled “Create the Sermon Entry”Once the prerequisites are ready, follow these steps to post the sermon:

Open the Collection: Navigate to Sermons in the sidebar and click Add an entry.

Fill in Basic Information:
- Title: The name of the specific message.
- Date Preached: Select the date the sermon was delivered.
- Sermon Series: Select the series you created.
- Preacher: Select the preacher you created.

Add Scripture & Media:
- Sermon Text: Enter the passage.
- Spotify URL: Paste the link to the sermon on Spotify. Link should look like
https://open.spotify.com/episode/.... - Bulletin URL: Provide a link to a PDF or external document (like a Google Doc).
- Add Sermon Notes Use the Notes section for the main content or transcript. If you leave the Notes empty, the system will automatically display the preacher’s bio instead.

Save: Click Save to publish the sermon to your site.
